Denis Holland – 4th June 1928 – 23rd February 2022
Hitchin Camera Club is sad to announce that Denis Holland life member of Hitchin Camera Club and former treasurer passed away yesterday.
I’m sure many of the older members of the club will remember Denis who was one of the founder members of the club when it re-formed in the 1970’s. Denis has contributed to the club in many ways, some of which we continue to benefit to today; for example keeping tight control of the club’s finances with his “Red book” and in more practical ways like the club’s store cupboard which Denis built when we moved into Christchurch.
I personally remember Denis as an impressive club member, and remember learning about his other interests such as Ham radio when I visited his home some years ago.
Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
