With the sad cancellation of our club meetings due to the Corona Virus, the committee as been looking at ways to enable camera club to continue even though we can’t physically get together.
We’ve just had a successful trial of a Video Conferencing system (Google Hangouts – Meet for those who are interested) and we’re looking to use this as way to run our meetings until we can be together again.
In order to participate in the online meetings, you’ll need to have access to a computer with the internet and speakers. We’ll send you a link and at the right time you’ll be able to join the meeting.
Google hang-outs runs on a number of different internet browsers, although we’ve found Opera, Chrome, FireFox and Safari to be the most effective, and can be run on either PC or Mac. You can even download an app for your Android or IOS (apple) phone.
With a bit of luck we’ll be running our first online meeting this Thursday (19th March)!
