We’ve just received the following invite to what looks like it might be very interesting exhibition….
Whats the exhibition about?
A small group of volunteers from Dunstable has been travelling to the remote community of Sarenga, West Bengal, North India for several years now to offer aid and support to a rural hospital called Khristiya Seva Niketan ( KSN )
The farming community of Sarenga is mainly subsistence, living day to day with all the problems and issues generated by such a remote place. With very little financial income the community relies heavily on the hospital which derives most of its funding by voluntary donations and has a policy that it will not turn a sick person away and where possible not charge the patient for their treatment, thus not adding any more stress or worries to the families.
For the last three years I have travelled with the volunteers to India to photograph the project in action. The photographic exhibition is a showcase of what I’ve found and comprises of large images and videos.
The exhibition is free to enter but we are collecting for the hospital and ask anyone who visits to make a small donation.
