As one of bonus evenings in the extended season, we asked our members to have a go at recreating a famous artwork as inspired by the Getty museum’s project.
This turned out to be a brilliant evening with 36 entries and contributions from lots of members. Works included everything from Constable to Picasso, with Warhol, Dali and Van Gogh being particularly well represented.
Some members chose to raid their archive, whereas others shot from fresh either producing straight images and carefully composing their scenes, or using photoshop to combine multiple images to achieve their aims. We also had a number of excellent self portaits, so well done to all of those who appeared in front of the camera!
Many thanks to Simon M. for suggesting this excellent evening!
