    Our second competition of the year is the ever popular and competitive Landscape competition. As with the other competitions this year we will be asking you for up to 3 digital images.

    Our judge on the night is Daphne Hanson who's been a regular visitor to our club for many years and always has some great feedback for all of our photographers.

    Our next competition of the year is the relatively new Monochrome competition. As with the other competitions this year we will be asking you for up to 3 digital images.

    Our judge on the night is Sarah Kelman who's rapidly becoming one of our most popular judges.

    For our final competition before Christmas we have the first of our changing subjects "Abstract". As with the other competitions this year we will be asking you for up to 3 digital images.

    Our judge on the night is Linda Woodward who's another of our favourite judges.

    Here's the definition of Abstract we're going to be using for this competition.

    Abstract
    A visual image which has been created via the use of photographic equipment, processes and materials where the subject of the photograph is not immediately or even necessarily identifiable.

    As with all competitions your digital entries need to be in no later than midnight on the Sunday before the competition.

    One of our regular competitions is People and Portraits, and it's always a popular event. As with the other competitions this year we will be asking you for up to 3 digital images.

    Our judge on the night is Ben Pike who's visited us a number of times in the past.

    We start February with our second Open Competition of the year and will be asking you for up to 3 digital images.

    For this competition we'll be welcoming back on of our previous judged, Jonathan Vaines.

    For the Panel competition we'll be asking you to combine 3 separate photographs into single image, and we'll allow each member to enter 2 sets of 3. What your images are and how you combine them is entirely up to you, however the images should have a common theme and make a cohesive set.

    For our second changing competition the subject is Movement, and this of course will be taxing assignment as we try to reflect Movement in a still image.

    However, we know our judge Naomi Saul will be well up to the task and it will be interesting to see how our members approach this subject.

    For the Movement competition we'll be asking you to enter up to 3 digital images.

    Our final competition of the year is the closely fought Nature Competition, where we'll be asking you to enter up to 3 digital entries.

    Having visited us just a few weeks earlier Ron Tear will be returning to judge, so you might like to pay particular attention to his likes and dislikes when he tells us about "London my Way" on the 4th March

    Our final meeting of the 20-21 season will be the ever popular Knock-out competition.

    The knock-out is purely for fun, however this is always an exciting and fun evening. We'll be asking you to submit up to 3 digital images which the members will vote on to determine which goes through to the next round, and to eventually become the winner,

    Please Note unlike normal competitions the knock-out does not contribute to the overall scores, however you do have the flexibility to use previous competition entries!
