For our Welcome back evening we'll be putting on our usual selection of updates and introductions from the club committee.
As normal there'll be a full run down of this year's programme, updates on the competitions.
This evening is a great introduction to the club and we'd invite anyone with an interest in photography to come along and find out about us and what we do.
Returning members will be keen to note that we'll be announcing the subjects for the Assignment night planned for the 20th October.
For our first lecture of the new club year we'll be inviting a new speaker Hemant Jariwala, to tell and show us about his photography in the lake district.
Our first competition of the season will be, as tradition dictates, an Open.
For this competition we'll be looking to run both digital and print categories, which we'll ask one of our regular judges Alison Jenkins to review.
- You need to be a paid-up club member to compete in our competitions
- Print entries need to be in 1 week in advance of the competition
- Digital entries need to be in no later than midnight on Sunday the 18th September

The two subjects this time are;

Every year we hold our AGM to bring the members up to date with what’s been going on in the club over the last year, tell the members what’s coming up for the next season and get the members input on how they want the club to be run. I’d therefore ask you all to attend this important meeting.
We’ll be publishing the Agenda 2-3 weeks before the meeting, and would ask that if there’s anything you’d like to discuss you raise it in writing no less than 1 week before the meeting.
