Following the success of the tutorial/practical sessions from previous years we’ll continuing this theme again into the 2018/2019 season.
This evening’s presentation is very much targeted and those who have recently upgraded to a “better” camera and are looking for their first steps in understanding some of the controls and features of their camera, along with some guidance on taking better pictures.
Our chairman Andy Hyde will be giving this presentation, and he’ll be talking about what is a DSLR, how to use auto focus to your best advantage, understanding exposure and some hints and tips for better composition. Along the way the presentation will talk about exposure compensation and the differences between the different modes on your camera. Although this presentation is focused on DSLRs the concepts discussed will be applicable to bridge cameras and “advanced” compacts (those where you have control over exposure and focusing).
Bring your cameras along since we’re going to have a number of club members on hand to be a panel of experts to discuss the settings for your camera.
