As you all know Christchurtch is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary this year, and one of the events was an Art and Flower festival over the weekend of the 6th and 7th July. As regular church users HCC were asked to take part and ran an exhibition of member’s prints, a slide show of member’s images and a photo-booth.
The event was a real success with Phase (one of the charities who use Christchurch) raising £700. Within the Flower display there were 27 entries on the theme of “Hitch-Inns” (old and current pubs in and around Hitchin).
We had approximately 70 prints on display, and a slide show with over 400 images, and over 60 people took advantage of the photo-booth. Hopefully we spread the word about Hitchin Camera Club to many more.

I’d just like to thank the following people for helping run our event;
- Gareth Kitchener (Special thanks for the slide show)
- Terry Linton (Special thanks for helping set-up)
- Dave Radford (Special thanks helping set-up and bring your plate camera)
- Jo Broughton (Special thanks for capturing everyone’s contact details)
- Jeremy Lintott
- Simon Bray
- Lee Paine
- Rosemary Kitchener
