Camera Club exhibition at Christchurch

Don’t forget this weekend is Christchurch’s Jubilee and Flower festival. As I mentioned throughout the season Christchurch is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary this year and we’ve been invited to take part in their celebrations.

Along with a number of other church groups we’ll be showing off our wares, including a slide show and print display of members images, and a photo booth.

We’ll be setting up on Friday night (5th July) between about 6:00 and 7:00 PM ready to open for 10:00 AM the next morning.
We’d really like to show photos from all of our members, so if you’d like to lend us a couple of prints to display please drop them around to the church on Friday evening.
Equally, we’re still looking for some photographers to capture the day(s) so why not pop along with your cameras and say hello.

Art Festival at Walsworth Baptist church

Also on this weekend is an art exhibition at Walsworth Road Baptist church. The camera club will be putting on a small display of prints, and a slide-show. Although we won’t be manning a stall at the art show, hopefully it might let a few people know who we are!

The art festival is on from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Saturday, and 2:00 til 5:00 on Sunday. Why not pop by!

Holwell – Scarecrow Festival

If you’re looking for a pleasant walk, over the weekend, why not check-out the Holwell Scarecrow festival. These events are usually great fun and it’s really interesting seeing how much effort the locals put into their displays.

According to the Comet, the roads are open (despite the signs) and the festival is going ahead…https://www.thecomet.net/news/road-closure-between-pirton-and-holwell-threatens-summer-festival-1-6131794
