For those who haven’t noticed yet the club has just upgraded its projector!

During Ken Payne’s recent presentation several of the committee noted not only the interesting and in-depth content of his tutorial but also the excellent visual quality of his presentation. During the half time break we took the opportunity to ask about his Epson projector and Ken was happy to provide a glowing recommendation, so on the basis of that, our own research and a discussion at committee we took the decision to upgrade!
The model chosen is an Epson EB22447U and represents a significant upgrade from our existing projector in terms of brightness, contrast ratio and perhaps most significantly resolution.
For the technically minded the projector has the following features;
- 4,200 Lumen output
- 15,000 : 1 Contrast ratio
- Better than HD resolution 1,920 X 1,200
- 16:10 Aspect ratio
- 39 dB
Getting the best for your images
Our previous projector only supported a maximum resolution of 1,024 X 768, however Gareth has tested the new projector with his laptop and we can now support up to 1,920 X 1,200 pixels.
So from now, for your digital competition entries, Assignment Night photos and any images for Member’s Mini’s and our other presentations we’ll be happy to accept images up to a maximum horizontal resolution of 1,920 pixels and vertical resolution of 1,200 pixels.
So to see your images in the best light you’ll need to ensure your images meet or exceed above resolution. The projector software we use will automatically re-size your images if they’re larger than 1,920 X 1,200, however we know some of our members prefer to take charge of image re-sizing themselves.
