Muddy Mayhem 8

Jeremy Lintott Hcc 16Thanks to some great images last year by a team of our members, Hitchin Camera Club was again invited to cover the Muddy Mayhem event at Knebworth Park in aid of Garden House Hospice in Letchworth. The event involves a 5km run over various obstacles and through mud but due to the sudden arrival of snow and icy winds the course had to be modified and a few obstacles missed out in order to minimise the risk of hypothermia.

Snugly wrapped in their thermals and testing out their rainsleeve camera covers our team consisting of Terry Linton, Steve Granger, Lee Paine and Jeremy Lintott attempted to capture the heroic efforts of those who braved the awful conditions to raise money for charity. Although there may have been less mud flying around this year the added element of snow made for some interesting shots. It was a certainly a challenge getting some action shots in the cold and blizzard-like conditions but was huge fun mixing with all the competitors in a very well organised event.

Here is a selection of our teams photographs which we will be sharing with the Garden House Hospice.
