Photographer Wanted – August 12th and/or 13th – Moggenhanger – Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice

As many of you know Hitchin Camera Club has been working with a number of different charities recently, including for example Muddy Mayhem, providing photographers to cover various fund raising activities, in exchange for some “All Areas” access, the opportunity to cover some great events, and some publicity.

We’ve received this request from Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice, who are looking for some photographers to cover a copy of fund raising events they’re planing in August.

Busk till Dusk

The first event is on Saturday 12th August and is a music festival called Busk Till Dusk. It’s held from 3-10pm in the grounds of the Hospice and will showcase local talent, cover bands etc.  There is a main stage, a smaller second stage and a buskers corner with roughly 5/6 acts playing on each for about 40 mins.

This event attracts c.400 people (weather dependent, of course).
Country Fayre
The second event is the following day, Sunday 13th August, also in the grounds of the Hospice. It’s a Country Fayre with lots of activities like Pony Rides, Zorbing etc. (some of which will also be at Busk Till Dusk), stalls, refreshments etc.
In the past, this has attracted up to 1,500 people and is held from 11am-4.30pm.
Sue Ryder are looking for photos which capture the event to use on social media, the website and to promote future events. Wherever possible, they will credit the photographers on social media. Clearly, entry to the event(s) they photograph is free.

If you would like to come along and take photographs of the event, please let Terry Linton know (terry.linton@btinternet.com) as soon as possible.
