On Friday 3rd March the had the formal opening of the OHOS exhibition at the British Schools Museum in Hitchin.
Simon and the rest of the Our Hitchin Our Streets team, had choosen, printed and mounted 138 of the images from project representing the work of many of the 38 photographers who submitted entries, and had also prepared a catalogue listing the works displayed and saying a little about each image.
For the opening a number of special guests has been invited including local Councillor Judy Billing, Town centre manager Keith Hoskins, representatives from the historical society and the museum service, and well of course as members of the camera club, and all the photographers who had taken part.
Andy Hyde, Chairman of the Camera Club, said a few words introducing the project and some of it’s background before handing over to Simon Madison who spoke about the aims of the project. After thanking all the various contributors Andy then formally opened the exhibition.
The exhibition is open until 19th March, and a free to enter. So please pop along to support this HCC project.
